Generally, we have made a 0 period daily for 40 minutes for activities like Sports and Yoga. During that time we dedicated a whole week for Fitness Movement from 2 Dec’2019 to 7 Dec’2019. The activities with pictures are as follows:
Yoga is the suppression of modification of the mind. Practising Yoga helps to improve attentiveness and concentration to improve and perform tasks with creativity for achieving success. In the first day of Fitness Week, we had Yoga session with 40 students. It started with Surya Namaskar, and followed by various aasans.
PT is essential for the development of motor skills and the enhancement of reflexes. Hand eye coordination is improved, as well as good body movements, which helps in the developement of a healthy body postures.
"PHYSICALLY FIT BODY STIMULATES HE INTELLECT"
In order to spread awareness among the youth of Today we are celebrating Fitness Week and
are at 2nd day of the fitness week, celebrated with Physica Training which focuses on making
students physically and mentally fit.
"SLOW PROGRESS IS BETTER THAN NO PROGRESS"
As a part of the movement our school has conducted physical activity i.e. "Poster Making Competition". The objective of this movement is to develop Sports Quotient among all the students to achieve healthy lifestyle. The topic for Poster Making Competition for Class VI onwards was “Fit Body - Fit Mind – Fit Environment”. Students were made aware about the importance of physical and mental fitness which gives them a message about a healthy environment.
Zumba is a "fun and effective" dance fitness that provides a total workout combining all
elements of fitness cardio, muscle conditioning, ba;amce & flexibility, boosted energy It
also says the classes are for "Everybody and Every Body".
On the 4th Day of Fit India Week Zumba was organized for whole school. Students enjoyed the
whole zumba session and a positive energy was seen among the young souls. Zumba challenges
the brain, increases cardio vascular fitness, improve agility and coordination and enhances
mobility.
"WHEN YOU EAT WELL. MOVE WELL & SLEEP WELL, YOU RISE"
On 5th Day of Fit India Week Sports Quiz Competition was held for the sports enthusiasts.
First round was a warm up session which was based on general questions on sports and
sportsmen/women.
Second round was based on racket sports i.e. badminton, lawn tennis, squash and table
tennis.
The third round was exclusively based on cricket as India is regarded as a cricket crazy
country. There was immense craze about the game and people often idolize their favourite
cricket stars.
Sport is often an important part of early development & plays a big role in school life.
Such Quizes help kids increase their sporting knowledge.
Moving into the last day of fitness week with full enthusiasm. Kabaddi Match was organised in
which not only students but our teachers and parents also participated.
KABADDI is a team sport originally from Tamil Nadu, India. Two teams occupy opposite halves
of a field and take turns sending a raider into the other half, in order to win points by
tagging or wrestling members of the opposing team, the raider then tries to return to his
own half, holding his breath during the whole raid.
